A wet bathing suit is incredibly difficult to remove and put back on when using the restroom. It  can make a simple restroom trip frustrating, uncomfortable, and time-consuming. Some women may even delay using the restroom because they dread the inconvenience.

IngeniousWear™ was created to offer a better solution. Our patent-pending design features a discreet bottom opening, allowing women to use the restroom without removing the upper portion of the suit.

The result is a one-piece swimsuit designed to provide greater convenience while preserving the style, coverage, comfort, and confidence women expect from their swimwear.

Meet Laura Rodriguez, Founder & Inventor 

For nearly three decades, beginning in 1997, I had the privilege of serving our nation as a Special Investigator, conducting background investigations in support of national security. Throughout my career, I worked on contracts for several Federal Agencies, including the FBI and the U.S. Intelligence Community. 

I loved my career. But after years of living with Lupus, Sjögren’s Disease, and Addison’s Disease, I was forced to step away from the career I loved. It was one of the most difficult decisions of my life. 

While spending time in my backyard pool and jacuzzi, I found myself avoiding drinks because I dreaded slipping out of and back into my wet one-piece swimsuit every single time I utilized the restroom.   

Then, one day, I watched how effortlessly my husband used the restroom while wearing his swim shorts with a simple secure water-proof fastener type opening. 

That’s when my epiphany occurred:  

“Why don’t women’s one-piece swimsuits open at the bottom?” 

What began as a personal frustration evolved into a simple observation that changed everything. That one question became the inspiration behind the patent-pending IngeniousWear™ innovation.

My mission now is to create beautiful, practical swimwear, so that every woman who wears an IngeniousWear™ swimsuit spends less time worrying about inconvenience and more time enjoying the beach, the pool, vacations, and the moments that truly matter.
